Air Liquide, Toyota Team to Build Fuel-Cell Filling Stations (IndustryWeek) Air Liquide is teaming up with a Toyota subsidiary to build a network of 100 filling stations for fuel-cell electric vehicles in Japan in two years.

Middle market companies continue to surpass their own expectations for growth, but many executives fear that higher interest rates will slow their growth.

Ohio's aerospace industry taking off with GE partnerships (WVXU) GE Aviation and University of Cincinnati Research Institute signed an agreement to collaborate at the new GE Aviation Research Center in Evendale and its three labs. The three labs will focus on engine combustion technology, ceramics matrix composites, and aircraft energy and thermal management. The partnership will provide GE with technical expertise, but also provide UC students with career opportunities and training.

Tax credit to help bring Nestle pizza division, 250 jobs to Solon among 10 OK'd by state (Cleveland.com) The project is expected to generate $21.8 million in additional annual payroll and help retain $63 million in existing payroll, while adding 250 jobs to Northeast Ohio. The deal was brokered as part of a tax credit package from the Ohio Tax Credit Authority and JobsOhio.

Time to Change the Rules? (Inside Higher Ed) A hearing this week in preparation for the reauthorization of the Higher Education Act brought proposals for many changes to America’s higher education system, including state accrediting agencies, eliminating federal reporting requirements, and making more institutions eligible for federal financial aid. Many legislators and higher education experts say that these changes would allow more people to access higher education, but that the quality of the institutions may decline.
