On behalf of the Policy & Communications team of the Ohio Technology Consortium (OH-TECH) and the executive directors of its member organizations, I am pleased to welcome you to our new blog and daily news aggregation site.
OH-TECH functions as an umbrella organization for Ohio’s statewide technology infrastructure: the Ohio Academic Resources Network (OARnet), the Ohio Supercomputer Center (OSC), Ohio Library Information Network (OhioLINK), eStudent Services and the soon-to-be-established Research and Innovation Center. Under the direction of the Vice President of Research at The Ohio State University, OH-TECH is a statewide organization funded by the Ohio General Assembly through the Ohio Board of Regents and reports to the Chancellor of the Board of Regents.
The blog and aggregation site – launched just today – serves as a cornerstone for content development of OH-TECH's new digital communications effort. Please take a few moments to read the blog's first guest post, written by Chancellor John Carey, on Ohio’s students heading back to school and about ilearnOhio, the state’s new, free online learning resource available to students, parents, teachers and school administrators.
Explore the blog site’s features, including daily news highlights, staff recommendations, keyword/organization search and filter options. New blog posts and staff-recommended links will be added frequently, as will items appearing in feeds from news sources and related blog sites.
If you would like more information about the OH-TECH blog, please contact Mr. Jamie Abel, director of communications, at jabel@oh-tech.org.
