Can Student Data Improve Learning Without Compromising Privacy? (Center for Digital Education) – With the increased use of cloud storing and data analytics with student information, advocates are calling for new regulations and policies to protect privacy.

 

Google Diversity Report and Unleashing STEM Mentors (Huffington Post) – Google reports that 17% of females and less than 3% of minorities fill tech positions at Google, and many tech companies are facing the same problem. Million Women Mentors is working to bring one million men and women to mentor young girls and young women in STEM fields.

 

No Growth in Science and Engineering Graduate Enrollments (Campus Technology) – Although funding in STEM education has increased, enrollment of graduate students in science and engineering fields has decreased for US citizens and permanent residents.
