Schools help students stick to 4-year plan (The Columbus Dispatch) – As student loan debt continues to rise colleges across Ohio are working to help students graduate on time and avoid incurring extra costs. 

 

Dwindling Midwest High School Grads Spur College Hunt (Bloomberg News) – Due to a declining number of high school graduates many universities are facing lower application rates and are working to recruit from other regions to maintain enrollment.

 

$66.8M software grant to Cincinnati State (The Wall Street Journal) – Cincinnati State has been awarded a $66.8M grant from Seimens to help bring Seimens’ software into the curriculum, helping better prepare students for jobs available in the manufacturing sectors.

 

Middle school seeks to get kids ready for robotics (The Titusville Herald) – Titusville, PA is looking at incorporating robotics into its science curriculum at the 6th to 8th grade level to improve STEM education at its middle school.
