Public-University Group Offers Alternative to Obama's College-Rating Plan (Chronicle of Higher Education) – The Association of Public and Land Grant Universities has offered an alternative plan for how to rank universities based on three risk adjusted measures. These rankings could then be used for allocating federal student aid dollars.

 

Third Frontier grants coming to LCCC, Synapse Biomedical (The Morning Journal) – Two Lorain County projects will be receiving funds from Ohio’s Third Frontier. One is a grant to a public-private partnership program based at LCCC and the other to a private company based in Oberlin.

America Makes Announces Second Project Call Awardees (americamakes.com) – America Makes has announced a second round of funding, granting 15 projects a total of $9 million.
