A note from OhioLINK Executive Director Gwen Evans
OhioLINK has been enabling affordable learning and discovery in our state for 25 years. In that time, we’ve become far more than books and libraries—we’re a growing organization with expanding services and stakeholders.
As we continue to serve students, faculty, researchers, and staff at our member institutions, and provide Ohio citizens access to content at their public libraries, we are also deepening our involvement in Ohio’s affordable learning initiatives by leading the way with textbook affordability and price agreements with publishers, inclusive access, e-tutoring and Open Educational Resources. Our work has provided us with increasing amounts of exposure on a statewide and national scale…we are breaking the border. We’re not just Ohio-facing anymore; we are speaking to a national and international audience and communicating directly with different sectors about our services and initiatives.
With that in mind, we felt it was time for OhioLINK’s look to grow and expand along with our organization.
We debuted our new logo and color palette with enthusiasm at our All-Directors meeting in June, and our members shared in our excitement. We hope you will, as well.
We believe the new mark, specifically, not only exhibits the collaboration at the heart of OhioLINK, but also recognition that we are more than an organization— the actions, contributions, talents, and support of our network are what empower us to work toward a common goal. We are all continually seeing something new in this logo, from a mountain peak to a network to a nod to Ohio itself. We believe the update to our brand colors and the addition of a tagline reflect not only OhioLINK’s service to higher education, but also its maturity and stability as an organization. We are proud to debut a new look that will grow along with us.
You’ll see our new logo roll out over the remainder of 2018. It will be available for download on our website, as well, and we ask that you please be mindful of its accompanying usage rules with regard to size and orientation. And should you have any questions, please consult our usage guidelines or contact us directly.
