TECHCOLUMBUS ANNOUNCES NEW $7MIL.-PLUS SEED FUND (Columbus CEO) – TechColumbus has announced a $7M fund titled the Catalyst Fund that will provide seed money for Central Ohio start-up companies working in advanced materials, alternative energy, IT, and life sciences.

 

Ohio wins education aid (The Columbus Dispatch) – Ohio was chosen as one of nine states to receive federal grant money from the U.S. Dept. of Education to aid in improving low performing schools.

Philadelphia Mayor Tackles Unemployment Through Adult Literacy Program on Canvas by Instructure (Digital Journal) – The city of Philadelphia has worked with Instructure to build a scalable online program to help low-literate adults gain skills for employment and improve literacy.
