In a Buyer’s Market, Colleges Become Fluent in the Language of Business (The New York Times) – As college degrees become more commonplace many schools have begun to compete in businesslike fashion to attract students to their university. No longer are choices made solely on academics, but rather on which school will offer the best value for the money.

 

School e-library, with help from LeBron James, among largest in nation (Akron Beacon Journal) –Akron City Schools has recently created one of the largest e-library systems for its students with the help of donations from the LeBron James Family Foundation, Sebco Books, and ABDO Publishing.

 

‘Big data’ needs a helping hand in Washington (The Washington Post) – Due to budgetary and privacy concerns a number of federal statistical programs have been reduced or cut in recent years. Ford invests $500 million, brings 300 jobs to Lima Engine Plant

(Dayton Daily News) – Ford has announced a $500 million upgrade to its Lima Engine Plant that will bring 300 new jobs to Lima, Ohio. This is the second major investment in Ford’s Ohio based manufacturing facilities in recent months.
