St. Paul Library offers high-tech training with Treehouse (TwinCities.com) – St. Paul Public Library has begun to offer online technology and business courses offered by Treehouse through a license the library purchased to provide these courses for free to their patrons.

This is one of the first master degrees that is focused solely on the use and understanding of big data.

 

USC’s College of Education launches STEM teacher recruitment campaign (COLADaily) – The University of South Carolina has teamed with Duke Energy to create a recruitment campaign to attract students into the field of STEM education. The main goal is to increase the number of middle and high school teachers that are trained in STEM areas of study. 

 

Ohio State students help local companies boost exports (Columbus CEO) – The Ohio Export Internship Program, run through the Fisher School of Business, has chosen 30 students to participate this year. In its third year, this program has proven highly successful in helping small Ohio companies increase their export while providing students with hands on experience.
