Auto parts manufacturer gears up for $100M investment (Dayton Business Journal) – ADVICS Manufacturing of Lebanon, Ohio has announced plans to expand its manufacturing facility and hire 100 new employees in a $100M investment.

 

AT&T Continues Hiring Drive In Ohio (Market Watch) – AT&T is looking to fill 300 positions in Ohio, focusing heavily on hiring military veterans. In the past year AT&T has hired roughly 850 people statewide and has plans to continue investing heavily in the state. 

 

Bill seeks high-school credits for church classes (The Columbus Dispatch) – A bill to allow students to earn class credit for attending outside religion courses, with permission of the school board, has passed the Ohio House and will move on to the Senate.

 

US Air Force Research Laboratory Orders 20 Teraflop Rugged Computer System (Scientific Computing) – GE has been commissioned by the Air Force to build a modular, rugged supercomputer to aid in the development of the next generation of radar systems.

 

IBM, OhioHealth Use Big Data to Prevent Infections in Hospitals (eWeek) – IBM and OhioHealth are working together to develop a monitoring and analyzing system that will help hospitals reduce the spread of infectious diseases stemming from improper hand washing.
