OARnet elevates Fullmer to chief technology officer, Wise to director of networking

The Ohio Academic Resources Network (OARnet) announced today the promotion of Mark Fullmer to chief technology officer and the appointment of Aaron Wise as his replacement as director of networking, effective immediately.

Reflecting Fullmer and Wise’s expertise and leadership, these changes are key to ensuring OARnet’s long-term success as one of the most advanced statewide network infrastructures in the United States.

Executive Director of OARnet Appointed to the Internet2 Board of Trustees

WASHINGTON and COLUMBUS, OH, Nov. 25, 2014—Pankaj Shah, executive director of the Ohio Academic Resources Network (OARnet) and the Ohio Supercomputer Center, has been appointed to serve on the Internet2 Board of Trustees as a network representative. Shah is serving the term of retired Board Member Joe Freddoso, former CEO of MCNC.

IEEE Communications Magazine has announced a call for papers for a special issue that will investigate monitoring and troubleshooting multi-domain networks using measurement federations. The deadline for submissions is March 1, 2013.

Prasad Calyam, a senior systems developer/engineer at the University of Missouri, recently at the Ohio Supercomputer Center and OARnet, is serving as one of the magazine’s guest editors.
