Verda McCoy

Technology Learning Consultant

Verda McCoy serves as a technology learning consultant for the Ohio Board of Regents, the state agency responsible for coordinating higher education in Ohio, and supports initiatives of the eStudent Services division of the Ohio Technology Consortium (OH-TECH). She manages state educational grants, with responsibility for budget, project leadership and coordination of services, products, resources and recipient training.

Prior to this, she worked as a grants officer and project manager for eTech Ohio, an educational technology access and integration agency that was later integrated into the Board of Regents.

McCoy has 15+ years' experience managing state and federal grants. She is a member of the State Educational Technological Directors Association and the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE). She is currently working with the INACOL Blended Teaching Competencies Committee drafting core technical competencies for blended learning.

McCoy earned a master’s degree in Business Administration and a bachelor’s degree in business, both from the Ohio Dominican University.
