Donald Bretl

Associate Director for Modeling & Simulation, Procter & Gamble

Mr. Don Bretl is the Associate Director for Modeling & Simulation (M&S) in the Corporate Research & Development organization at Procter & Gamble (P&G). In his current role, Don is responsible for development of new M&S capabilities for P&G, as well as strategies and systems to expand M&S use within P&G. He established, and is currently the Research Sponsor, for the UC Simulation Center, a unique “collaboratory” between P&G and the University of Cincinnati.  Don has also worked in several product and technology development roles at P&G. Prior to joining to P&G in 1999, Don worked 7 years at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, developing and testing advanced physics devices for the purpose of national security and safety.  Don has developed and used his skill in Structural Mechanics and Virtual Product Development in other positions including a small manufacturer and as a simulation consultant.  He has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin. Don resides in West Chester, Ohio, with his wife and two sons.
