Lynn Trinko

Former Assistant Deputy Chancellor, Educational Technology

Lynn Trinko joined the Ohio Department of Higher Education in May 2015 as the assistant deputy chancellor of educational technology.

In this role, Trinko advised policy makers and the leadership of affiliated organizations on collaborative efforts to develop and maintain state-of-the-art shared technology services across state government and higher education. She was responsible for the management of a wide variety of technology projects, development of education technology strategies and implementation of strategic initiatives.

Trinko served as the liaison between the agency and the Ohio Technology Consortium, a set of statewide technology infrastructure organizations established by the agency and hosted by The Ohio State University. These organizations include: eStudent Services, OARnet, OhioLINK and the Ohio Supercomputer Center, as well as the Shared Infrastructure and Consortia Services divisions of the OH-TECH umbrella organization. Trinko also directed staff members who organize the annual Ohio Educational Technology Conference (OETC), the nation’s premier P-20 state educational technology conference.

Trinko served as a member of the Chancellor’s Technology Council and, when requested, as the Chancellor's liaison. She also was designated as an ex-officio member of the Broadcast Education Media Commission, which promotes statewide access to and use of public educational broadcasting services.

Before joining the Ohio Department of Higher Education, Trinko served as director of educational technology in the College of Education and Human Ecology at Ohio State.

Trinko received her undergraduate degree in Education Teaching and Learning from Ohio State before earning master’s degrees in Elementary Education/Education Technology and in Workforce Development and Adult Education. She is currently completing her doctorate at Ohio State in Workforce Development and Adult Education.
